Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a Ghanaian politician and member of parliament, has clarified the misinformation surrounding the funding of the Hajj Village project. In a recent post, he stated that the project is not being sponsored with taxpayer money, contrary to widespread rumors.
According to Ofosu, the Hajj Village project is an airport terminal designed to facilitate the departure of Muslim pilgrims traveling to Mecca. The project is being solely funded by the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), without any financial contributions from taxpayers.
Ofosu emphasized that the project is progressing smoothly, and no taxpayer funds are being used. He declared the rumors of taxpayer funding to be false, providing clarity on the project’s financing .
