Anthony Nukpenu, the Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed concern over the alleged misconduct of the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, and the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Nukpenu stated that the unsatisfied members of the Ablekuma North constituency have been calling for action against the two officials, alleging that they committed crimes during the election and re-collation.
Nukpenu criticized the government for neglecting the requests of the disgruntled NDC members and supporters. He emphasized that the IGP and the CID Director must be held accountable for their actions, which he believes have embarrassed the NDC.
The Greater Accra Regional Organizer expressed disappointment in the way President Mahama is handling the situation, stating that the president and his government are not taking the matter seriously enough.
