Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, a Member of Parliament-elect, has warned NPP youth who stormed the UTV studio, causing damage and disrupting a show, that they will face new charges after January 7, 2025.
This threat comes after the NPP youth allegedly vandalized the studio, prompting A Plus to take action.
In a social media post, A Plus stated, “You see your easy level? There will be a new charge against you all after the inauguration of the new president-elect.” This warning is likely in response to the NPP youth’s destructive behavior, which resulted in the cancellation of a show.
The incident reportedly occurred when the NPP youth stormed the UTV studio, angry about a letter from the management requiring improvements to the United Showbiz program. One of the individuals allegedly demanded that the A Plus studio explain why they had to shred the letter.
A Plus’s threat to sue the NPP youth is not an empty one, as he has been involved in legal battles before. For instance, Alberta Afia Akoto, Deputy Communication Director of the NPP, once sued him.
