The founder and Bishop of Light House Chapel Church has resigned from the national cathedral committee that was set aside to see to the completion of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Building the national cathedral has been one of the controversial issues currently in the country. The project in an estimate will cost billions of dollars \u00a0for the building to be erected. The engineers are paid 40,000 dollars a month until the cathedral is built. Building a national cathedral is definitely not a problem but the timing of this project happens to be the cause of alarm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Light House Chapel overseer and founder who is well respected by a lot of Christians in the country and worldwide has expressed his decision to resign from the committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bishop Dag Heward Mills has expressed the timing of the project as a wrong time where the country is facing financial crisis. He stated that, what is the need to build God\u2019s temple when the people of God themselves are not in a good condition and they are financially constrained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The clergyman has questioned government on the need why they are bent on continuing the project when the country is experiencing harsh economic conditions.
