According to recent reports, the Swedru Municipal Government Hospital has confirmed 11 cholera cases, with over 200 suspected cases. The Agona West Municipal Coordinating Director revealed that three of the confirmed cases have been fatal. The director assured that measures are being taken to control the outbreak and a three-month grace period has been granted to Agona Nykrom and Agona Nkum to sanitize their environments. The Ghana Health Service has also reported a surge in suspected cholera cases in the Central Region, with 720 suspected cases and 47 confirmed cases, resulting in seven deaths.
