According to Prosecuting Chief Inspector David Owusu, the convict and the victim’s mother lived in the same community. On the day of the incident, the victim’s mother left her alone at home and went to farm, leaving the child unattended. Asamoah took advantage of the situation and forcefully had sex with the minor, who screamed for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A neighbor, identified as Kwakye, witnessed the act and rushed to the scene. When the victim’s mother returned from the farm, the child was too scared to report the incident. However, with the help of the eyewitness, the mother eventually learned of the abuse and confronted Asamoah, who begged for forgiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
