A court in Ghana has accepted a bail of 50,000 Ghana cedis for an okada rider accused of attempted robbery. The accused, whose name was not disclosed, was charged with multiple counts, which he denied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Police Chief Inspector Salifu Nashiru, the complainant, a driver from Opah, Ghana, had finished his sales for the day and was unloading items from his vehicle when he noticed a motorcycle approaching him. The complainant felt uneasy due to the okada rider’s suspicious behavior and took out an item from his clothing to scare him off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The okada rider sped away, and the complainant quickly reported the incident to the police. After an investigation, the okada rider was arrested and charged with attempted robbery. He is scheduled to reappear in court on January 6, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a similar case, an okada rider was granted a 50,000 Ghana cedis bail with two sureties for alleged attempted robbery.
