Unlike the 2023 results, this year&#8217;s performance in English Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Integrated Science was varied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results indicate a decline in performance in three core subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Social Studies: The percentage of students who passed with a grade of C6 or better decreased from 76.76% in 2023 to 71.53% in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English Language: The percentage of students who passed dropped from 73.11% in 2023 to 69.52% in 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrated Science: The percentage of students who passed decreased from 66.82% in 2023 to 58.77% in 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Mathematics was the only core subject that showed an improvement, with the percentage of students who passed increasing from 62.23% in 2023 to 66.86% in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) also reported that the number of school candidates increased this year compared to last year.
