Interestingly, this is not Alhaji Ayaana’s first long-distance walk. In 1997, he walked to commemorate former President Jerry John Rawlings’ swearing-in for his second term. He also organized a 16-kilometer peace and health walk in Tamale on Independence Day in 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alhaji Ayaana announced his latest initiative on December 21, after completing a 19-kilometer health walk from the Yakubu Tali International Airport in Tamale to the Jubilee Park.
