Frank Dompreh, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, has been declared the winner of the parliamentary election. The Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson, Jean Mensa, announced that the NPP candidate won by a margin of over 277 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n

The announcement was made at the Greater Accra Regional centre, where the EC had been resolving issues with the parliamentary election results. Initially, the re-collection of the election outcome was incomplete due to damage caused by supporters after the election. Only 143 polling units had been gathered before the commotion started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EC postponed the collation process to the next day due to the unrest. However, the process was put on hold again due to concerns about potential violence by supporters. On December 20, a High Court in Accra ordered the EC to proceed with the collation and announcement of the election results for the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
