The President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, recently clarified the purpose of the Office of the Registrar of the Anti-Corruption Law (ORAL). According to John Dramani Mahama, ORAL aims to stop corruption by gathering evidence against those accused of corrupt practices and submitting it to higher authorities for investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a meeting with the Canadian Commission in Ghana on December 19, the President-elect emphasized that, ORAL’s primary objective is to collect proof of corruption and provide evidence to support investigations.
He also stressed that the team is not authorized to interrogate individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
