Many citizens, in other to get rich over night, deprive and waste the nation\u2019s resources with a flimsy excuse that there is a high rate of unemployment in the country , meanwhile\u2026 indefinite people engage in plantation farming , animal rearing and trading is on a high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has both negative and positive effects . This piece will opine the negative effects of illegal mining on our environment.<br>Many water bodies in Ghana such as River Densu, Prah have been destroyed as result of the poisonous substances like mercury used in this process .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, a lot of water companies has been shut down , because their source has been damaged . Water is now unsafe for humans , animals and plants. We send much just to render water safe .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, Our health is at risk , Cancer and other diseases what attack the youth this days is another consequence of . illegal mining .
