Ofosuhene Manasseh, the Tema Metropolitan Electoral Officer, has revealed that he was coerced into declaring Ebi Bright the winner of the Tema Central parliamentary seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Manasseh, he was forced by supporters and management of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to announce Ebi Bright as the winner, despite the outcome of the votes being incorrect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manasseh explained that during the collation process, NDC officials, including MP for South Dayi, Nelson Rockson Defeamekpor, and Deputy National Communications Officer Malik Basintale, threatened him and his officers, forcing him to prioritize his safety over the legality of the declaration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under duress, Manasseh declared Ebi Bright the winner, even though results from two polling stations had not been collated. He revealed that if these outstanding results were included, the NPP candidate, Charles Forson, would have won by a margin of 55 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
