Ghanaian journalist Ben Ephson, Director-Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, has explained why his predictions for the recent election were incorrect. Despite correctly predicting eight elections in the past, Ephson admitted that he missed the mark this time around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ephson attributed his mistake to the unique challenges posed by the current political landscape. Analyzing the votes received by the two main parties, the NDC and NPP, Ephson noted that the NDC’s vote count remained relatively consistent with the previous election, while the NPP’s vote count decreased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the Ashanti region as an example, Ephson highlighted the NPP’s traditionally strong performance in this region. However, in the recent 2024 elections, the NPP’s numbers decreased, making it challenging to gather accurate information about political activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
