One of these taxes was the e-levy that made a lot of Ghanaians to grumble and many still grumble over the absurdity of the tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government also scrapped off road toll that got a lot of people shocked because the toll generates high revenue for the country, and it also serves as a means of livelihood to hawkers who sell their products there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a year plus of scrapping off road tolls, the government wants to reintroduce road and bridge tolls in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opposition party NDC, and some Ghanaians argued that, the government is reintroducing road\/bridge tolls, will the e-levy tax be scrapped off because the government isn\u2019t saying anything about the e-levy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously, when the e-levy was introduced, the road toll was scrapped off, but the road toll is reintroduced and the e-levy is still active.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Akuffo Addo\u2019s government saw a lot of taxes enacted by parliamentarians.
