The short heavy downpour caused and obstructed moving vehicles and pedestrians on the Kaneshie to Mallam stretch of the Kasoa Highway, the Central Business District, Odawna, Sagrela, Spanner and other areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the heavy traffic caused by the short heavy downpour, most drivers parked their cars, walk to their various destinations for safety while others stayed in their vehicles regardless of the flood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"606\" height=\"447\" data-src=\"https:\/\/gistme.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/IMG_8717.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2026 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 606px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 606\/447;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Accra and Flood seem to be a normal occurrence in rainy season because over the years, there have been several incidents of loss of lives and properties caused by flood, but little or no attention is placed on this issue which breaks citizens\u2019 hearts yearly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday 22nd May, 2024 Greater Accra experienced another flooding.
