The fight of illegal mining popularly known as Galamsey is a menace destroying water bodies and lives in our country Ghana. H.E Nana Akuffo Addo has championed the course to help end this menace though there have been several juxtapositions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the sad news is the life of a pregnant woman called Gifty in Odumase-Ashanti region who lost her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gifty as reported was going to attend to nature\u2019s call at night when she slipped and landed in a mining pit which resulted to the death of the pregnant Gifty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A resident in Odumase said, residents in the town always engage in indoor mining. The chief has warned the residents in so many occasions but they always use their money gotten from the mining activities to bail their way out of any legal action against them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
