In recent weeks, most regions in the country experienced light-out popularly known in the local dialect as “Dumsor” which explains switch on “sor”, switch off “dum”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of Ghanaians have expressed displeasure in the new development which seems to stunt the growth of businesses, and this places homes in discomfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a bit unexpected for the ruling party NPP that preaches against the Opposition Party NDC when the country experienced long hours of Dumsor during their regime.<\/p>\n\n\n

Benevolent and concerned citizens have urged the government to accept the situation, and notify them with light load-shedding to help them plan their activities and businesses well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Minister of Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has assured Ghanaians that the power outages is over after Government pays $10m from the debt the country owes WAPCO. Though many citizens see his words as mere political gimmick, they are hoping these words are true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
